Co-Curricular Programme
We believe that Co-curricular activities are a very important part of student lives. In fact, we call them Co-curricular activities because they form an integral part of a child’s holistic development. They enable our students to develop key inter-personal skills that cannot be fully realised in the classroom, while allowing them to pursue their interests outside the purely academic context. Co-curricular activities also enhance social skills, develop teamwork abilities and provide students with opportunities to relieve stress, build resilience and learn to manage their time more effectively. Overall, they play a major role in whole person education and character development. To ensure we have a wide variety of different activities which cater for our students’ different interests, we have categorised them into five domains: Performing Arts, Sport, Academic Extension, Cultural and After-School activities (ASA).
Our Performing Arts activities include School Orchestra, Primary Choir, Dance, Gu Zheng, Drama Club, Violin, Concert Choir, Djembe and Rock Band.
Our Sport activities include basketball, football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and dodge ball.
Our Academic Extension activities include Art Club, Science Club, Young Enterprise, ICT Club, Cross–Stitch, Food and Nutrition, Felt Making Club, Reading and Writing, Newsletter Translating, Sand Painting, Painting by Numbers, Maths Club, Advanced Maths, and Photography Club.
Our Cultural activities include Embroidery, Chinese Reading and Writing, Drone Club, Mindfulness, Western and Chinese Chess, Tea Art, Film Society, MC Club, and English & Chinese Broadcast.
Our After-School activities include Student Council, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Concert Orchestra and School Production.
